Atomic Mountaincross Skis: Tour Race, Peak, Ambition, Limit, And Outbreaker

When most people think of skiing, they picture a person sliding down a mountain peak as fast as possible, dodging bumps and swerving around huge piles of snow. A popular type of skiing that includes cross country skiing and ski jumping is Nordic skiing. Nordic skiing is a sport in which the skier's boot heel cannot be fixed to the ski.

Atomic Mountaincross skis are some of the finest skis that can be used for country skiing, ski jumping, and other Nordic events. Atomic, the company that produces Atomic Mountaincross skis, has been part of the ski industry since 1955, and is located in an Austrian mountainous region. The company works to produce Atomic Mountaincross skis that work under any circumstances or degree of difficulty. Atomic Mountaincross skis can be found at any skiing resort, or wherever skiers seek to test their limits.

There are six different kinds of Atomic Mountaincross skis: Tour race, Peak, Limit, Ambition, Climber, and Outbreaker. Tour race Atomic Mountaincross skis only come in one length. Tour race skies are incredibly light, making them great for long distance cross country races. Besides their ultra-light core, they also feature a Speedskin base, which reduces friction between the ski and the snow. Using these practically weightless skis requires little effort, thus maximizing the speed of the skier.

The Peak Mountaincross skis are ideal for, not surprisingly, the mountain peak. They come in four different lengths and boast a side cut that increases flotation with less effort. Peak Mountaincross skis also feature a honeycomb high densolite core, which is very durable while still remaining flexible. Durability is further increased by the use of a special carbon surface.

Limit Atomic Mountaincross skis feature the same high densolite core as the Peak and the same Speedskin base as the Tour race. These Atomic Mountaincross skis also contain a Tour Cap, which increases the stiffness of a ski, thus improving handling, without adding weight. The Limit skis are lightweight and perfect for regular downhill skiing.

The Ambition and the Climber Atomic Mountaincross skis both come in four lengths. The Ambition is similar to some of the other skis with its lightweight frame and carbon surface, but its radius is smaller than that of the Tour race and the Limit Atomic Mountaincross skis, at 17.5 m. The Ambition is designed to meet many demanding challenges. The Climber Atomic Mountaincross skis have the same radius, and they are very versatile. They are perfect for beginning skiers as well as professionals, and can be used on downhill courses as well as climbs.

Outbreaker Atomic Mountaincross skis are made especially for beginning skiers. The radius of a ski is slightly larger than that of a Climber, and it comes in five lengths. Outbreakers feature the Atomic trademark carbon surface and Tour Cap. They also, like the other five Atomic Mountaincross skis, come with 100% carbon poles.

No matter which event Nordic skiers love, they can find a perfect pair of Atomic Mountaincross skis. Using new technology and materials, Atomic will continue to improve their skis for years to come, and skiers will continue to appreciate the improvements.
